I really struggled to finished this book. I nearly gave up three times before finally powering through. I put off writing this review for a few weeks, so hopefully it won't sound as harsh now as it initially would have. I was very intrigued by the first chapter of this book, interested in the serial killer aspect, and as a Northeast Ohio native, curious to see the Ohio connection. However, this book fell severely short of my expectations. I so wanted to like this book, but the story ended up being much more about the main character's longing for another woman, and then ultimately about their affair. I'm sorry, but I just could not have cared less about the main character and his affair made me just hate him. I think that author then tried to show the MC trying to become a better person, but it was just so difficult for me to feel all that bad for him.
I had hoped for this book to be more involved in the serial killer story line and way less about an adulterous affair.
