I was given an advanced copy of the book from bookishfirst for my honest opinion. I was hooked from the beginning of the book when the first body from a serial killer was found. It was a friend of the main character John Coleman. The body was found much like previous victims of another killer, the Torso killer. A killer that John's father tried to capture. The book continues with John making one mistake after another until he finds himself accused of murder. He is not a likable character because of these mistakes. But you are still drawn in wanting to know the outcome. Will they ever catch the Butcher? What about the Torso killer? This is a well written book. It is full of surprises and twists. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good thriller.
