So, even though I read this some time ago, I just found out it was Michael Jordan's first book.
This was an intense read. It has it all. Serial Killer, cheating, you name it, its probably in this book. There is courtroom drama etc.
The only thing that this book is missing was character development and that is a huge aspect to be missing. Our main character John, is so flat and actually kind of an awful guy. So for me, there was no connection and I just wasn't invested in him at all. He was supposed to be middle aged, but in reality he acted like a teen almost. He made the most god awful choices, that I would have thought was possible for an adult to make. I know I haven't even really explained the story but there was so much going on, I couldn't even begin to tell you what the main story was. It was just a lot to handle.
