I want to thank Bookish for the opportunity to read this book. It was very suspenseful and an edge of my seat thriller. Sometimes so much so that I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next. This isn't a genre that I typically like that much but I was drawn into the story from page one. The twists kept coming. It's like something you don't want to see but you can't help looking. I had to know what was going to happen next. The main character, John, was likeable and how his life kept taking bad turns was awful. He was responsible for some of those bad turns from choices he made but he didn't deserve to be in the situations he found himself in. I would recommend this book highly to anyone who likes this genre. A very good first novel, Mr. Jordan! TY!
