The first chapter really pulled me in, with the dead body in the alley, and then the subsequent events that followed with the police. The narrator seems to be someone who's no stranger to this kind of murder, even though he was more or less a child during the first round, and his father was the police chief in charge of the original investigation.
I'm not too sure how I feel about the other characters just yet; there wasn't a whole lot of material to suss out who they are as people, but this was definitely a great start. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.
