I really do like the cover of this book, though I think it seems more "horror-ish" than mystery/thriller. I didn't enjoy the writing, but I think its because it reminds me of one of those hard boiled detective books... of which I am not a fan.
The last thing I wanted to mention is that the excerpt ended mid-chapter, mid-sentence. It was jarring to say the least, and the first time I've read an excerpt that didn't end at the natural ending point of the chapter.
