To start off with, the back cover copy grabbed my attention because of the connection to the torso murders. For whatever reason, lately every other book I pick up seems to have a connection to that famous case. The plot of this story falls right in line with those other interesting novels.
I'm not sure how connected I feel to the protagonist yet because we don't get much about him in this First Look. I don't know where he's going to go forward, but it will be interesting to follow the steps.
