Stories with shocking crimes and crazed killers are always interesting sounding. It makes sense that John would be shocked with his friend is murdered and it sounds like he heads down a dark path when he starts investigating and get involved for an affair, but when he tries to break it off he becomes implicated it in the crime... This definitely sounds like it will be an intense read. I'm a little confused as to whether this is a part of series or a stand alone novel though.
