I thought that this book started out strong but towards the end, it faltered a little.
What I liked
- The beginning. John Milton starts out strong with an interesting career that he chooses to leave. I liked the direction that the character was going and the beginning did pull me into the story.
What I did not like
- The story went off on a lot of tangents that did not add anything to the story.
- I felt as though John Milton's character quickly spiraled into a more boring character. I expected more towards the end and did not feel like I got that.
- Some of the other characters listed were not explained as well as I would have liked. I found the entrance of various characters confusing and wondered where they came from.
This book was a quick read. It would seem as though the demographic for this novel is older men. I think that my dad would have liked this book.
