John Milton is the government’s assassin of choice if someone needs to be eliminated without a trace. He has had a long and gruesome career with over 100 confirmed kills and now is setting his sights on retirement. John wants to step away from this profession; however, his employer has other thoughts. As he navigates leaving this career behind, he sets out to collect some good karma and ends up befriending a woman, Sharon, whose son is wrapped up with the London Field Boys (LFB), a gang within the city. From here the story takes several twists and turns and John is presented with several dangerous situations he must work his way out of.
Overall I enjoyed the writing and style of the story, with quick plot progression. I was hoping for more resolution of specific plot lines by the end; however given it’s a series I will just have to come back for the sequel.
