The cover is like many others of this genre. It works for this book but doesn't really stand out. The synopsis makes it seem exciting but then the opening prologue of the book was mostly descriptions of the surroundings, which I thought dampened the action. Normally, I love good descriptive writing. But this is supposed to be, at least from the synopsis, an action-packed thriller. There was too much tell and not enough show and so I wasn't drawn into the story and found myself skimming. Interesting premise but failed with overly descriptive and passive writing.
