I love historical fiction, and especially during this time period. The synopsis had be highly interested, but I'll be honest, the perspective in the first look was a little challenging for me. It appears to be first person from a child's perspective, but based on the parts listed in the beginning it may get easier as the narrator ages. Would still be interested to see where this story takes us.
