I am really enjoying reading books set in this time period. They are heartbreaking yes, but also so interesting! I like the story right at the beginning with Amerigo and his friend trying to make money by painting dead rats to look like hamsters. That was amusing. I want to know more about the train the Amerigo takes and how changes him. This will be a good book, I am sure of it!
