First of all, as my title suggests, historical fiction in general is not my genre, and WWII fiction in particular is REALLY not my thing. Too much trauma porn and cliche, in my experience. This book, so far, might buck that trend, but it's still too far removed from what I enjoy to truly pique my interest. I will say that the author's use of random details was engaging.
