Grabbed my interest from the first paragraph

The first person perspective used by the author captured my attention, and I feel this could also do the same for adolescent readers. Although the reader is well aware of the circumstances surrounding this time period, I longed to know what was going to happen to our protagonist as he made his journey and how this would impact his future. I look forward to continuing this novel. It will absolutely be a book that I would recommend for my history buff students.
