Two great books in a row with pretty yellow covers. The Best Laid Plans by author Cameron Lund is a YA coming of age story featuring two best friends Keely and Andrew. It’s their senior year of high school having been bff’s since 4th grade and Keely is the last girl to loose her V-card while Andrew has had a long pick of available groupies. Keely has also been serving as Andrew’s “wing-gal” for years yet invisible to guys until she meets a local college junior who is hot for her and interested in serious romance. Keely thinks her bff might be the answer to all her problems. Andrew can personally help her loose her v-card so she won’t seem inexperienced to the swoony college junior. But the best laid plans can go sideways in a hurry. The writing is fun, relationships are snappy, and the story is charming.
