I am always a sucker for the types of books that girls can relate to as they mature. So the premise of this book - the small town environment, the coming of age drama all girls go through - is something I can get behind. The writing is personable and funny, which definitely makes this easy to get sucked into.

The only thing is I did find it a bit cliche that it follows the typical new mysterious boy enters school & girl is hooked formula, but tropes are what make contemporary books so popular and fun to read.
