The Best Laid Plans by Cameron Lund was a sweet young adult romance book. Lund made Keely Collins relatable, and it was easy to want her to find what she is looking for from the very beginning. While this rom com is certainly predictable, and readers know from the start who will likely end up together, Lund makes the ride to get there fun. She also writes Andrew to be kind and endearing, and you can't help but like him, even when you think he's a player. Keely and Andrew are such an easy couple to root for, and I found myself unable to put the book down until I knew they would work things out. While the idea of two best friends falling in love seems classic and overdone, I enjoyed Lund's version. She found a way to make a common storyline seem fresh and kept me engaged from start to finish. She even finds a way to throw in little twists along the way, just to keep things excited. I look forward to reading whatever Lund publishes next.
