Cover: I love the illustrated cover trend so much because it for the most part lets you know what you are getting. I like the bright yellow color, the food, and clothing items.

Story:
*The characters personalities and history is so interesting. The world feels lived in with side characters who pop.
*It has a message about sex shaming, double standards, and choosing what you want for you - my only issue is I feel that choosing what you want is only goes in line if you want to have sex, drink, and etc. There is an entire conversation about how sex positivity and your choice is one directional. I think to deal with all these big issues in a romantic contemporary is something I have noticed is happening more. What I like is there are tough issues handled without losing the fun of the story.
*More realistic depiction of modern high school- its not really super cliqueish like a lot of y.a. books (although I will read those still) I just feel it probably fits more into what modern high school is for a lot of teens (or at least it fit more with what it was for me).
*Starts off grabbing your attention- I say this on the hills of trying out a bunch of books and feeling like where is the attention getting fiction at.

Story Opinions
*I personally do not like Dean because I find it weird that he is offering a drink to main character who is a minor he is 20 shes 17(or 18) so its not that weird. I do not hate him or anything just find him suspicious
*Chase did not start the rumor & Danielle understandably (looking at it from what happened) but prematurely let go of him. I think Chase does actually like her. Who has it out for Danielle though?
