First, kudos to the title, I found it to be a quirky play on words.

Sadly that was all I can say for the good.

Based on the blurb, I am pretty sure many already know what will happen, but hey, it's about the journey, not the destination.

However, the journey seems to be from a 14 year old rather than an 18 year old. The main character thinks about sex and cute boys more than she ever mentions actual real things that 18 year old people think about at even a reasonable level. When me and the other 420 kids in my grade were 18, we were thinking about jobs, college, sure some boys and crushes for some and such, but it was never a main conversation topic so strong that applications and the fear of growing up were never mentioned.

The character is too shallow, saying in the first part of the excerpt that she might never see another person's butt again and that was where I knew it would go downhill. It was meant to be funny, and I could have let it pass, but even other characters like Danielle say things like 'I'm going to order a ___ because I'm a woman now' and that is just cringe. It would have been not only more realistic to have written younger people, but more acceptable as this not only gives me the creeps, but is kind of disrespectful to people who actually do care about growing up too soon without being with someone physically or emotionally. Perhaps the author could have written about new adults who are struggling with this as well. Something other than what was given to us.

I'm sorry but this was not for me and I will be recommending people to stay away from it if asked. It is not a bad book, but it is in need of editing from people who are of the age, and perhaps another edit for passages that go on and on about things that do not really relate to anything of importance or relevance.
