While the writing seems cute, I honestly don't understand books that focus on the importance of losing one's virginity. I'm all for books about exploring one's sexuality, but I feel like this narrative of "I have to lose my virginity or guys won't want to be with me" or "I'm less than because I'm a virgin" is so freaking toxic. Now, maybe the protagonist realizes later on that this isn't important, but to be honest, I'm sick of seeing this narrative in novels. It's overdone, and I'm tired.
