A story about a girl desperately trying to lose her virginity is pretty played out in my opinion. I have heard this story time and time again. I feel like glorifying the act of losing your virginity and making it seem like you are a "loser" if you haven't is kind of polarizing, especially for a young-adult novel marketed towards young teens. I don't think that this is sending the right message.
