It is a well-written book that captures the feelings and anxieties of adolescents. So are the heroes of the book. Oppressed by peers and models of our time, they feel that they must necessarily have sex. They think sex is an act without emotion. They feel that with this act they are growing and maturing. Many times they get hurt for their whole lives. Through the book young people need to understand that not having sex early is a bad thing and they are not forced to do it because some of their classmates are sexually active.
