The cover makes it seem as if it will just be a sweet YA novel. It’s pretty and eye catching, but to me it doesn’t convey the sass and new adult feel I got from the first few chapters. I only got to read 62 pages of The Best Laid Plans, but I’m already planning to pick this one up when it publishes. Keely as a lead has so much potential. She’s seemingly naive and inexperienced, but she also has that spark and sass that is just right there edging it’s way out. The banter between all of the characters is fun. The other characters themselves are interesting enough to make me want to read along. I think it really says something when an author can make you love the mains and the additional characters just as much. Honestly, this book just seems like a promising romantic new adult read, with a coming of age plot breaking down the pedestal that our society places on virginity. Can’t wait to read more!
