So far, Best Laid Plans doesn't seem to be covering any new territory, as evidenced by the synopsis. But this is a book in which I am entirely ok with it. The writing is good, the characters are engaging so far, and the setup moves along nicely. Everything so far is a potential for warm gooey happiness in the form of a sweet and well-written YA romance. Looking forward to finishing this one!
