A cute and light contemporary but not extra noteworthy.

This seems like a solid contemporary romance. Also can be filed as new adult- literally- as the main character is 18 years old and the writing style kind of feels like YA but a smidge older. The main character seems likable enough and effort is put toward fleshing out she and her extended friend group. That said, there wasn't much of anything that I could detect as noteworthy to set this apart from other romcoms or contemporary romances out there. It's very simple and aims for relatability. Even the heroine points out how plain and boring their hometown is. I could see this being fun as a break from more intense reads, but otherwise it's too plain and seemingly insubstantial.
