I definitely thought I would like this more than I did. I love a romance where a couple faces some adversity but their love pulls them through it. So on that front, it was good. I love Tessa & Cole’s devotion to each other and the insecurities and uncertainties were definitely understandable. I just never really got on board with the fake break up or understood why It was necessary. I mean, they explain it but it seemed silly so I struggled to keep reading through it. Another issue I had that took me out of the story was Tessa’s pettiness and cattiness any time she perceived another girl as a threat. Like I said, I get insecurity. But women smack talking other women in books makes me cringe a little. BUT it was entertaining and I really did like it but I can’t honestly say I loved it TT
