The problem with jumping in with the third book in a series is that the author seems to expect (and not unreasonably so) the reader to have some idea of who these characters are and what's going on. Since I've never heard of this series, I have none of that information. I start reading and don't even know if the person whose POV I'm reading from is male or female, but they're in bed with a guy who apparently wants to break up with them but not break up with them? There's something about an ESPN comment and a lot of drama with friends. This would probably be more interesting if I had any clue at all what was going on.
