Self-Published books are notoriously bad. But, yet some writers have little to no choice. With the demand for attention from 1000's of writers, some stars go unnoticed.

I was a teenage once, and LOVED to read. In my pre-teens I enjoyed reading relevant to me material. There was a lack of it. This however does not grab me. And, yes, while I am older, I know what I enjoyed as a teen from ages 12-16. I would not have chosen this book at all.
At the writer's age, I was writing more along the lines of the "single-mom finding romance (clean)" type of reads.
I think the writer has a gift for story-telling, but this story does not grab me at all. For those who enjoy this type of read - they might like it.
