I was left a little confused because I didn’t realize this wasn’t the first book in which these characters existed. The author really seemed to rush into the book, which I guess is understandable because she is assuming that everyone reading her book probably read the previous ones, but she should have at least provided some more information as a reminder to readers about who these people were.
