*I have not read the first or second book of this series and I feel like that is an important distinction.*
The story starts off a little too romance-y for me as I do not know who Cole is, I do not know how their romance started off, and so I was not rooting for them. I was a bit annoyed that I had to accept something that seemed to stem from nothing even as they shared moments and affection through touch and some reminiscing. Perhaps if I knew their already mostly finished storyline and more than just them laughing and feeling sad about the past that I believe is more in depth in other stories, I would feel better about rating this. So please take this with a grain of salt.
