This book is about a young girl who is dying to learn the magic ways of escaping. At first, I thought this was really interesting since there aren't many books about this topic. Probably because most teens dont look up to Houdini. But I still wanted to read it because I thought it would be something different.
It was different, but for me the escaping was the only original thing about it. I didn't feel like the characters were uniquely their own even though I knew what they liked and they didn't.
I liked the characters and the story well enough, but I didn't really fall in love with them. Which is a shame. I still enjoyed the book, but it definitely wasn't as amazing as I was hoping. I would still recommend if you're into magicians and stuff.
