I don’t know why but I wasn’t really feeling this story as I was reading it. I had a interesting enough concept with the 17 year old girl that is obsessed with escapology and it wasn’t like something I’ve read before or anything like that.
The escape part of the story was what I liked, these are usually the type of things you watch and get nervous over. But this book like actually kind of communicated the same feeling through words which was refreshing.
But that being said the writing is what did it for me, it’s just meh. And the characters were just so “quirky.” I wasn’t feeling it. This book had such good potential, even enough potential to be a 5 start but the execution of it was just lacking.
If the characters, perspectives and the writing were a bit more exciting and polished up, I think this story would be great. But for now it’s a bit flat..
