This was a wonderful YA Contemporary novel. I read it straight through in one sitting. We have a whole cast of wonderful characters and as we watch them grow, both us and the characters come to truly understand what the art and meaning of escaping is. I loved how each of the characters had their own fears and challenges to face yet they all learned to do it together and overcome them together. The dual POV of our two main characters were witty and made the story more well-rounded. The friendships that are formed and the stories that are weaved together is awe inspiring and their are many quotable lines and moments that are worth sharing. I found myself highlighting several passages! The only quib I have is that I wish thta it was longer or that there’d be a sequel. I’m not ready to part with these characters yet! It was that good. Overall the story definitely is one that I would recommend to it to any age.
