I enjoyed the concept of the book-- using the idea of escape artists as a metaphor for greater life is truly an interesting idea, although I was not a huge fan of the comparison between this and other real life issues.

I was a huge fan of escape artists as a kid, so it was fun to read a book centered on that idea.

I also enjoyed how, unlike so many other YA novels, this book focused more on the tight friendship that can develop between teenagers rather than some weak romantic trope. It was nice to see how close kids get.

I would recommend this mostly towards teens or others who regularly read YA- it felt s bit different than most YA novels and I can't quite figure out what is was, but it was very refreshing.
