The book is about a 17-year-old girl who is struggling to find her place in the world. Unwilling to play the game to get into a decent college, but also unwilling to let people into her life. It might end up being a good story, but with the constant foul language (which might be common among some of today's youngsters, though I know very few who curse as much as Mattie does), I cannot see myself reading anything beyond the first chapter. For those who are not bothered by the language, it seems that it would be an interesting story.
