Magic, and secrets, and I suspect a touch of romance

Seventeen-year-old Mattie has a secret: she adores magic. Muggle magic. She wants to learn the tricks but feels she has to keep it a secret (I'm hoping we learn why, it's not that big a deal). Mattie convinces the daughter of a world-renowned escape artist, to teach her the skills. Miyu's parent died in a tragic plane accident in the peak of their career.

Will her friends find out she's an accomplished escape artist? Will they hate her for it or demand free tickets to her shows?
