So, my first impression was kind of meh--maybe an excerpt further in would have been better, but I think the story will definitely get better. I'm just not sure I'll pick this one up to see. There are some interesting characters, though, so I may. As for the cover, I'm sure it's professionally designed but it doesn't give off that impression, at least not to me.
