While the first page was cute, she curses a lot. I know, most people don’t care, whatever. She curses too much, sounds spoiled and apathetic. Also, the dig about homeschooling? Untrue and unfair and unnecessary. Was the story interesting? If this first bit hadn’t been Mattie blabbing and complaining, yeah. But the first bit of this book was a child complaining, so no. Not my preference.
