I have previously attempted to read this author's work and after a few chapters, I threw it in the did not finish pile and never looked back. The beginning of the blurb sounds interesting but when the word detective was mentioned, I became quickly disappointed. The writing is OK. The characters seem to be fleshed out well so far. This type of book just can't hold my attention.
