What happens after the story ends and the characters get their (mostly) happy ending? That seems to be the premise of The Afterward. I've been a fan of E.K. Johnston's other books in the past, so I've had this book on my radar. The excerpt gave a nice preview of what to expect. The Before and After chapters were a bit confusing, so I'm hoping that as the book continues it becomes easier to keep things straight. The characters so far seem pretty intriguing and I'm interested to see where the plot heads. Not to mention: this book is diverse and I believe will be including a f/f romance.
