Always excited for f/f romance in a fantasy setting, I had pretty much expected myself to fall in love with this book within the first chapter. I'll admit, going into this book I was expecting an action-packed, fast paced novel, and this book wasn't really that. Instead I got a /ton/ of character building, which is basically my achilles heel, so I was pretty psyched for that. I really enjoyed the main and major characters, and loved the diverse cast of women. I loved the world-building and am all around just a huge fan of this book as a whole?
I can definitely see how someone looking for a fast-paced adventure might be left wanting more, but if you're interested in a wonderfully written novel with a compelling, diverse cast of women, then this book is for you. Really loved this book, and look forward to reading more from the author!
