I don’t usually read fantasy, so take that into account, but I give most books a try—reading at least read enough to get a good impression. This one is too much for me. It’s confusing. For the life of me, I don’t know why a story would open after the action is over. I couldn’t sink into this story.
The capitalization of all references to the “old god” left a bad aftertaste. Only the True God should be held in reverence. Period.
