Surprisingly humorous and immediately rich and engaging

The book hooked me right from the start with rich writing, sensory details, and a world that came to life as I read. I was surprised by the sarcastic, dry humor of the point of view character and it's exactly the kind I love to dish out myself. This is a must read fantasy for me.
