I was totally hooked from page one! Opening with the backstory of the Old God, the Godlings, and the Quest set the perfect tone for the Afterward.
Olsa seems like such an interesting character, especially the contrast between thief and hero. I'm excited to learn more about her past, her role in the quest, and it's effects on her.
The world building here immediately drew me in. Just the fact that this is a story about lady knights makes it an intriguing read; the author's defiant use of Sir when referring to female knights was particularly endearing.
Adding to that is an easy-to-read and engaging writing style that flows so incredibly well that I couldn't put it down. I seriously cannot wait to dive back into this remarkable world!
