For whatever reason, this didn't really draw me in. I read fantasy, and it seems like the historical/kingdom stories are quite popular right now. But I also feel like they're starting to over-saturate the market (thanks, Game of Thrones). It's probably well enough written, but I'd likely choose some of the classics and epic sagas first. As for the cover, I don't like it and I don't think it's a good marketing tool (hopefully they'll change it).
