First of all, I love a story with female protagonists! Especially, female knights. Some of my favorite books growing up with girls who had to pretend to be boys in order to be a knight, but this book wholly embraces heroines of the realm rather than men coming to save the day.
Secondly, I love the idea of a heroine's life after her adventure. Most stories end with "happily ever after." This story takes a look at the effects of fame and fortune on the protagonists and what this "ever after" might actually entail. I cannot wait to read more!
