Afterwards seems both confusing and pointless. Apparently women hold the role of knights (and yet one of the main characters that is a knight is expected to marry for brideprice money) and other roles of power in a world where during the majority of this story the major quest is over with. The time after the quest is told in third person, but during the quest it's in first person. And I can't quite figure out why you'd want to focus the majority of your book on what happens after the major event.
