I was actually surprised how quickly I got wrapped up in this story. I love the idea of beginning a tale once all the action is over, when you have to go back to your everyday life. I'm sure something nefarious is lurking in the shadows, but this is an intriguing starting place. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of Olsa and Kalanthe, and learning more about their relationship. It is also great to see a world where Lady Knights are just an accepted part of the world. Definitely want to read this one!
I'm a bit conflicted about the cover. I really love seeing the diverse leads front and center, but there's something about the artwork that's isn't working for me. Maybe it's just that I'm not used to seeing YA covers with the leads actually on the jackets. I'm used to more abstract artwork.
