Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me.
This book was SOOOOOO painfully boring to read. I even buddy-read it with a friend, dissecting it chapter by chapter. I was confused the entire time and the big “reveals” at the end were pitiful. Far too many characters to keep up with, and I didn’t care about a single one.
The only reason I’m not giving this a 1 star is because I do have to give the author credit for leaving no loose ends and bringing everything together in the end. I can appreciate the immense amount of work that must have been put into bringing this story to life, but it just didn’t work for me.
Had this not been a buddy read I would have DNFED it within the first quarter.
